Happy Thanksgiving!

This was our year to be in Illinois for Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful visit. Mom outdid herself and made LOTS of food! The girls loved their personalized train cookies and J loved his peaches and cream early birthday cake. The cars came inside because the weather was a little rainy. Dad bought the girls a HUGE coloring book, which was a HUGE hit. In fact, after seeing how longed they were entertained with it, we decided to go buy two for church. Wish we would have known this a long time ago because they've never been better during a service. They made it the whole time with no tears and and no nursery time. We visited with Becky and Jared, life-long friends and their three sweet kiddos and even got to eat Chico's and Pizza Man, my favorite local dives. Old friends are the best...we always pick up right where we leave off and the laughs are endless! The girls also got to see Grandma Golda. They loved her walker and tried to run away with it any chance they got.

I'm reading a book called, One Thousand Gifts, that a sweet friend loaned me. My favorite quote so far is, "The greatest thing is to give thanks for everything." I love how the author talks about how true joy begins with thankfulness. A good reminder for me and hopefully you too. So many blessings and things to be thankful for this year. Happy Thanksgiving to our loved ones near and far. Love and hugs from the Beards!

22 Months

Dear Elizabeth,
You make us laugh so hard when you sing and rock your babies to sleep. You love to yell and say, "Bye, see you later baby!" and "Peek-a-boo, I see you!" Your laughter is contagious and your big ole eyes dance when you learn something new or hear Elmo's theme song come on. You are very patient with Mommy as you wait for your food or wait for us to take care of MC. You're starting to be a bit more of a Daddy's girl...but still like Mommy a lot. You love to count to three and jump as high as you can. You love to eat Welch's fruit snacks, pickles, pretzels, and pancakes. You "squeeze" our necks with so much enthusiasm and no bedtime is complete without our butterfly kisses from you. You sometimes sneak into the kitchen and empty Mommy's linen drawer. We love you Elizabug!

Dear Mary Charlotte,
You are so sweet little peanut. You just let Mommy rock you tonight and sing for a long time. You're really loving books these days and even though you are a Daddy's girl, you like Mommy more and more! You love to ask for pouches, snacks and your baba. You don't like to have your diaper changed at all and you run away and say no when we try to get you! You are the best picker-upper I've ever seen and love to be praised for making right choices. You love to wrap blankets around your babies and feed real food to them. Baking in your kitchen and stirring with spoons and cups tends to be your favorite activity. You are so good at picking out objects in books and just the other day you pointed to a Santa on a roof and said, "Santa" excitedly and Mommy and Daddy didn't even see it! Good eyes, MC! We love you little red!

Thank you, Aunt Denise and cousin Denae for our HUGE caterpillar!
