17 Months

Dear Elizabeth,
You love to eat chips and guacamole! You also tried pickles and ate a few bites this week. You take life slowly and don't get too upset about much as long as lovie isn't taken away. You crawl away as fast as you can when I say it's time to change your diaper. And then give me a death grip hug when I pick you up from the changing table. I think that's my thank you for getting it over with quickly!  You love to wave and greet everyone in sight. The way you crinkle your nose and smile while shaking your head melts our hearts. You do not like to walk and try everything you can to get out of it. Walking on your knees seems to be just fine or walking while holding a hand is even better.  You have quite the little personality and I cherish every minute I can stay with you. I know you won't be like this for long, so I'm soaking up every hug and every memory we share! I love you, Elizabug! Happy 17 months, little one! Mommy and Daddy love you!

Dear Mary Charlotte,
You've gotten to be quite the little snuggle bug lately. You love to be tickle and lay back to see the world upside down. You keep Mommy and Daddy hopping during church as we try hard to keep you entertained and well fed in the auditorium. You love to carry your purse around and find new things to put inside. You have recently discovered the kitchen cabinets with potatoes and chips and you remind Mommy you are hungry by shaking the bags. You love to take magnets off the refrigerator and put them in your doll stroller. As soon as you, Elizabeth puts them back in place on the fridge. You two remind me of Lucy, Ethel and the chocolate factory! You can make the cutest little circle I've ever seen with your lips. You love to say, "Boom!" and you get your feelings hurt easily if someone takes something away or if you throw food from your high chair. You favorite thing to do is to stir with a pink spoon and cup and "feed" Mommy and Daddy. You respond to praise and love to be bragged on! Love you, MC. So happy and blessed to have you as our baby.

Happy 17 Months, baby girls!

"Mmmmm, I like this milk," says MC.

"Take me, Daddy!"

"I'm over these pictures!" says E.

"Wonder if they will catch me?"

"Oh good, now I get the chalk board all to myself," says MC.

No, we don't let them drink Sun Drop!

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!

"Ok, I'll smile a little. Is that good enough?" says E.
"Now put that camera away and let's eat.
I made it through two hours of church and I'm totally over Sundays!" Haha!

Davis and Denae

Our niece and nephew from Scottsdale, Arizona joined us last week in Nashville to visit and catch up. We would love to think they came mostly to see us, but we all know they came to see the babies! They were so good with the girls. Last summer when they came, the girls were mostly laying around and would occasionally make eye contact. This summer they are walking, talking, laughing and ready to play games! It was a wonderful visit watching all the kiddos together. We made a S'more cake, went to the zoo, watched lots of movies, and trained on all the new Apple products. (Davis and Denae are tech savvy and Uncle J and Aunt S are old.) Davis built a tower of Legos for the girls to crawl under and Denae found fun songs on her phone for the girls to watch. Such a blessing to have loving family near and far. We miss you, D3 and D4! Hugs and love from Nash!
