21 Months

Dear Mary Charlotte,
You love to repeat everything you hear and everything Mommy and Daddy say! (Scary at times) You love to twirl around the room and love to have snacks, especially Welch's fruit snacks. You run most places instead of walking and you love to carry your polkadot babies, one in each hand. You love to pull towels out of the drawers and you think it's funny to stand in your chair (we're working on this one). You laugh so hard when you are getting tickled and you call everyone and everything "baby". You always put your dirty laundry in the basket and are so proud when you can be our helper. You are still attached to baba (paci) and snuggle when you are really sleepy. We love you sweet peanut!

Dear Elizabeth,
You like to sing and play Ring Around the Rosie. You want to play pony when we are in the living room and butterfly kisses are your specialty. You will eat as many pickles as we'll let you! You say peeeaaaaaassssssss when you want or need a toy, food, or drink. You think the words, "boo boo" are so funny and you squeal with delight when we say "Ka-boom!"Both lovies are never far away and being outside is your favorite place in the whole world. You are snuggly and cuddly and love to be held during Sesame Street. You add pillows to chairs before you sit down and your favorite friends are still your left two fingers. Mommy found you sitting on TOP of the kitchen table casually eating a red apple this week! We love you, Elizabug!

The girls just went to the Edwin Warner Park for the first time last week during all the sunny weather. Jason and I were so amazed at what they were able to do independently. They slid down the slides and could climb up the steps to get back up. They loved swinging at watching the other children.

Love and hugs to all from Nashville!

Fall Babies

October has brought a lot of rain to Tennessee, so we are getting creative with inside activities. We managed to bring the baby pool inside for our very own re-creation of Show Biz Pizza-Beard style. The girls mainly fought over who needed to be the first in, but at least we had five seconds of fun! E and MC at this stage are so interactive and entertaining, and at times very challenging...our drama and feelings are worn directly on our sleeves and helping everyone stay safe and get along has become a balancing act. Bless MC, she's fallen so many times lately she looks similar to a punching bag and E gets so frustrated from her grocery cart getting stuck on the thick carpet that she bites the handle as hard as she can only to find out that hurts A LOT! Ha! Gotta laugh...thankful for these crazy days and have to chuckle a little about our life before babies! Love and hugs from Nashville! XOXOXO

20 Months

Dear Elizabeth,
You are the daintiest little thing! The way you hold your new tea cups and play with your kitchen set is so funny to watch. You carefully line all of your toys up and talk to them. You are so imaginative and love to "feed" Elmo with a baby bottle. You love Annie, the dog, so much and wait patiently for her licks and cuddles. You speak very clearly, ask lots of questions and sometimes you get silly and laugh while flopping, crawling, and going limp like a wet noodle. You are quite the little hoarder, as we find you with several "treasures" in your arms at once-usually trying to hide them from your sister. You call MC Baby Charlie and love to "shhh" us when sissy is still sleeping. We love you little Elizabug! These last twenty months have been the best of our lives.
                                                                             Love, Mommy and Daddy

Dear Mary Charlotte,
You are everywhere! You are a Daddy's girl and love to give books to Daddy to read to you. You love to be chased and to play tag. You remind us when it's snack time by opening the pantry door. When the Count or Elmo comes on Sesame Street, you dance and clap your hands. You love to sing the ABC song and Mary Mack is your favorite book. You have the best manners and are so good to always say "please" and "thank you". The first time you saw your new kitchen, you said, "Wow!" You like to see new places and things and enjoy riding in the stroller and looking for deer, bunnies, and birds. When sissy cries or needs something you are a little Mother Hen and bring her a lovie or her cup. We love you, little peanut! You are such a big little blessing to our lives! We love you!
