Happy Thanksgiving!

This was our year to be in Illinois for Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful visit. Mom outdid herself and made LOTS of food! The girls loved their personalized train cookies and J loved his peaches and cream early birthday cake. The cars came inside because the weather was a little rainy. Dad bought the girls a HUGE coloring book, which was a HUGE hit. In fact, after seeing how longed they were entertained with it, we decided to go buy two for church. Wish we would have known this a long time ago because they've never been better during a service. They made it the whole time with no tears and and no nursery time. We visited with Becky and Jared, life-long friends and their three sweet kiddos and even got to eat Chico's and Pizza Man, my favorite local dives. Old friends are the best...we always pick up right where we leave off and the laughs are endless! The girls also got to see Grandma Golda. They loved her walker and tried to run away with it any chance they got.

I'm reading a book called, One Thousand Gifts, that a sweet friend loaned me. My favorite quote so far is, "The greatest thing is to give thanks for everything." I love how the author talks about how true joy begins with thankfulness. A good reminder for me and hopefully you too. So many blessings and things to be thankful for this year. Happy Thanksgiving to our loved ones near and far. Love and hugs from the Beards!
