Happy Fall Y'all!

One of my favorite times in Nashville is fall. The leaves changing on the hillsides is absolutely beautiful. I also am a little ready for some relief from the Tennessee sun! We busted the pumpkin dresses out from last year and our house is  already full of fall colors. This past weekend we had a wonderful visit to Illinois. We celebrated my mom's birthday with Pizza Man and Nothing Bundt Cakes. They had new toys for the girls to play with as always and the trip was lots of fun. We also got to see Becky and her kiddos. It's always good to catch up, even if just for a few minutes! We tried out Firefly Grille in Effingham for a date night Saturday night. It didn't disappoint! I've been reading some great reviews about it, but had no idea how awesome a restaurant in the middle of a corn field would be! If you get a chance to go, be sure to ask about how it all got started. I had the filet and J had the salmon. It's the best steak I've ever had and the creme brulee wasn't too bad either!!! The interior and exterior design were both equally impressive- primitive boards, glass fire-pits, and a gorgeous kitchen with copper and stainless everywhere. Our waitress was really helpful and told us about a few places to try in Nashville, as she had just visited our city. We also made a quick trip to our friend Reagan's farm to ride in her Jeep this past week. Elizabeth wasn't one bit afraid to drive, but MC quickly learned to fear for her life as her head was the recipient of a large Magnolia tree branch. Ouch!

Love and Hugs from the Nashville babies!

A few days ago, we decided to take the girls on an hour long canoe trip. This was a favorite childhood memory of mine from floating on the waters of the Current River in Salem, Missouri.

Fun with friends

First trip to Trader Joe's

Sleepy heads on the way to IL

Two peas in a pod

The worm findings were the most exciting part of the weekend for the girls...yuck!

We were trying our hardest to avoid it, but our next door neighbor gave the girls princess accessories. We've had to peel them out of all of it for bed, baths, and church!

MC, I love that hair!

Becky and I have been friends since Thursday School.
So good to see her and Nora & Atley.
