Our New House

We are very excited to have a "new to us" house, complete with a huge yard, crowing rooster across the street, coyotes in the woods, and lots of trees, hills, sticks, and rocks for the girls to enjoy. The house needed a lot of work, but we felt like it was worth the investment because we are in a great school zone from kindergarten through high school, close to church, and close to work for J. We have all adjusted quickly and now I can't imagine the girls without these hills to romp around in and how lonely all the sticks out here would be without them! Another great thing about this house is our next door neighbors go to church with us and have children our girls' age. We've already decided to make a path in the woods for them to meet for play dates. I can't wait for Spring to come to see what  surprises our yard will bring and watch the girls play longer while the days stretch out into the late evening. Hugs and love from Nash!

We painted pretty much everything ourselves, Jason jokingly said if we just threw the whole house in a can of white paint I would be thrilled. We are so glad painting trim, doors, and walls is mostly behind us. Some of the pics below are from the beginning of the reno and some are closer to the end. Jason with help from my dad and his dad, completely rebuilt our staircase with hardwoods and added newel posts. More pics coming soon!

E thinks this closet vanity is for her!

First walk in our new neighborhood, already spotted a worm and a smushed frog!

First thing I moved and completed!
