Whenever someone makes a move or has major changes with jobs, it's always tough to adjust to the "new normal". Which Target is best, where to get your hair cut, where the best place is to shop for groceries are just a few of the things that have to be decided. For us the past few months have been just that. New city, new house, new babies, new church and so on. I think we've done all the "big" things in a really short period of time. We've made it, but not sure if it's a good idea to try it all at once! For the first time today, I really started feeling more at home here. I met a friend from church and her little boy and we walked at the park after story hour at the library. Also, while at the library, a sister of a former kindergarten teacher I taught with in Memphis came up to me and introduced herself. It really is a small world and so nice to have another connection here in Nashville. I'm also getting much better at navigating with unfamiliar roads. This week we've gotten out every day to run errands and we haven't gotten lost once! I'm figuring out the best way to load babies by myself and finding out that an outing each day is really helping with the girls. Fresh air and sunshine is good for all of us and makes the day feel so much more productive. Yesterday I purchased precious smocked pumpkin dresses from a mother of red-headed twins in Franklin and found out that her aunt was the secretary to a school in Henderson where I taught kindergarten years ago! Another small world moment.
Last night, Mimi, G-Daddy, Neena Mae and Grandmother Beard came to visit the girls and eat supper with us. We enjoyed having some cousin time with three little babies. Three little girls, seven months and under, make for an interesting supper. We took turns passing babies and took a bite when we got the chance!
Looking forward to visiting Grandma and Grandpa Pitts this weekend!
