18 Months

We celebrated eighteen months today by getting together with my college roommate, Abby and her kiddos. The Monkey's Treehouse was a great place to take everyone. They had slides for the older ones and a padded play area for littles. The girls loved riding in the cars and playing in the make believe kitchen and house area. They also loved the slides. They cried when it was time to leave. It was so fun watching our children play and interact. 

Dear Elizabeth,

I never knew eighteen months could go so quickly! I love you so much, sweetie. You love to kiss everyone right on the lips and say, "Bye" in this deep funny voice. You still like to walk on your knees best, but you will walk by yourself now. You shake your head and say, "Tsss," when you think something is funny. You love graham crackers with peanut butter and bananas. You love to play with jewelry and are obsessed with phones! When you want more of  something, you holler, "Moooouuu". It's so funny to watch you play with your Tags dog and your lovie. You are so imaginative and sweet as a peach! We love you, Elizabug! Happy 18 Months!

Dear Mary Charlotte,

You are Mommy's little helper. You love to help me put things away and you love it when we brag on you. You love music and for books to be read to you. Strawberries are your favorite and you also like Gerber Crunchies. You give your sister her lovie and pat her when she's sad. You never miss any details of the day including where the remote controls are, where baba is and when Mommy is holding sissy. You love to say Bible and spot it as well. When you laugh it's all the way from your toes. These past eighteen months, you've been our little baby peanut! You will always be our little baby! We love you sweet girl. Happy 18 months!

July Fun

The girls are loving all this water that comes along with summer time in the South. We enjoyed getting dressed up for the 4th as well as having a visit from grandparents. We've been to the splash pad as well as Mrs. Malinda's pool and Amy's pool. Empty sour cream jars and spoons are the best addition to the water and add hours of contentment so Mommy can enjoy swimming too. Hugs from Nashville!

Rainy Wednesday

I took the girls to story time this morning with Mrs. Donna at the library. They loved the singing and books and our new library has so many fun centers for the kids to play with until story hours begins. It's so nice to have a library so close to our house and also to have friends the girls meet and play with each week.

So Jason and I have started a new relationship with Dave Ramsey. Not that we even  know him personally, but lately it feels like he lives with us! We are getting acquainted with all his lifestyle tips and ways of thinking. It is a love-hate relationship! We love his ideas on finances, but also hate (sometimes) getting used to our new lifestyle. We've started using the cash envelope system and really like it and we were even brave enough this week to make our own laundry detergent! (yes you can do it too) Here's a link I used that was super helpful. I actually really like the way our laundry smells and it's SO much cheaper than buying it at the store! So in the midst of all our craziness, I've decided to help our family out a little by working part time, just a couple nights per week and on Saturdays. Yes, I dusted off my clippers and scissors and started working with hair again at Great Clips. It's super close to our house and so far it's really not been bad at all. Jason is at home with the girls for the couple hours I'm gone and it gives them a chance to have special time together as well as adult conversation for a little while for me. Jason is helping his dad on the farm on Saturdays too and it has really been amazing in just a few weeks the progress we've made. I'm really proud of the financial accomplishments so far and look forward to doing our debt free scream someday!
